Banana on toast

This is one of my favourite breakfasts, the combination tastes like salted caramel with a crunch! Great for pre training nutrition or as a recovery snack.

Banana, Honey & Peanut Butter Toast

Makes: 2 slices | Total time: 5 minutes | Prep time: 5 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread, toasted

  • 1 ripe banana

  • Honey (to taste)

  • Peanut butter (to taste)

  • Sea salt (a pinch)


Directions:

  1. Toast your sourdough until golden and crisp.

  2. Spread a layer of honey on each slice.

  3. Follow with a generous smear of peanut butter.

  4. Slice the banana in half, placing each half on a slice of toast. Mash gently with a fork to spread evenly.

  5. Finish with a light grind of sea salt on top.

  6. Eat slowly, with your eyes closed, while sipping a good coffee. Pure bliss. ☕🍌
